In 1999, three new moms from Georgia, Illinois, and New York relied on phone calls and email to write, illustrate, and self-publish I Love You All The Time. Almost 150,000 copies and two more titles later, Cookie Bear Press, Inc. is still helping busy adults connect with the children in their lives through books.
Twin sisters Jessica Elin and Jennifer Elin Cole created I Love You All The Time based on a word game that reassured their out-of-state nieces and nephews, “Even when you can’t see me, I love you all the time.” Illustrator Bonnie Bright brought this universal message to life with delightful images our readers adore.
The sought-after combination of imaginative drawings and amusing words appear in our two other books, I’m In The Bathroom! and The Tangle Tower.
Cookie Bear Press, Inc. is privately held with offices in Atlanta and Chicago.
You’re welcome to contact us with your self-publishing questions even though
we do not accept outside submissions.
OUR PEOPLE
Co-Author
I’ve always loved words. My editorial career spanned 20 years on two coasts, working for professional and consumer magazines, where I also authored and ghostwrote books ranging from home design to health care. When I moved from LA to Chicago with two young kids, I balanced full-time mom with part-time freelance until co-founding
Cookie Bear Press.
Co-Author
With three grown kids, I'm transitioning from co-authoring children’s books to writing for grown-ups. It's a shift from 20+ years of operations, marketing, problem-solving, client management, strategic planning, messaging, and recruiting to content development and storytelling for business owners and solo professionals.
Illustrator
I carried a childhood passion for drawing and painting forward to study fine arts and illustration at both UC Santa Barbara and then Cal State University, before launching a 15-year career animating and illustrating educational computer games, children’s books, and several animated book apps.
